How to Lose Body Fat

Welcome to Lose Fat Body my blog about losing body fat, I am glad you dropped by.

  • Believe me I understand how hard it is to lose fat, I have been struggling with this problem for years,
  • I naturally tend to be a big guy, and end up putting on fat easily if I don’t exercise regularly.

There is a flip side  to this coin or major benefit in being the kind of person though and that is if you tend to be obese or put on weight and get fat quickly, you can also build muscle really fast if you put the effort in, and you will get results a lot faster than a person who is skinny in nature.

  • Ok so who am I to be dispensing advice on losing weight? I am just a regular Joe, but Ive been through the mill, and have probably tried a lot of diets and fads, and some of them worked, for a while..workouts for weight loss

I have personally done the Atkins diet, the Cabbage soup diet, Fasting,  burn the fat diet,  vegetarianism,  normal gym on my own, kettlebells,  but the one common denominator in all these ‘ways that did not work for me’ was me..  However I don’t think I’m that much undisciplined when compared to the next person.

What i have going for me: I am a natural researcher by nature and have spent years gaining knowledge on the best ways to lose weight, how the human body works and researching most of the latest and greatest ‘methods’ on the market, checking their science etc.

I love learning and studying and I have the tendency(or mixed blessing) to dig real deep into things that interest me, and nutrition and fitness have been things i have spent a load of time researching and looking for the golden principles.

So what seems to work for me is a combination of the below factors.

Ok so you came here looking for how you can lose body fat so let me get to it:

How to Lose Body Fat:

  1. Start to realize that this(fat person) is not you
    I begin with the mind as its the one factor most ignored that will lead you to failure in all your previous attempts.
  2. You need to know that deep inside you, is the real you(or you would not be reading this page wanting to change!, and this person is a healthy vibrant and full of vitality person.
    I would encourage you to create a mental image of yourself as you wish to look like, Make a small ‘mind movie’ of yourself in this state, -eg, standing in front of the mirror admiring your attractive body – and then put it into practice playing this movie in your head every day!
  3. Think how such a person would live – what kind of lifestyle would they lead? what lifestyle choices would they make? – and then LIVE into your image.
  4. OK mind stuff aside  How do you go about the practical way of losing Fat?
  5. Make a few good lifestyle changes, most of our problems are because we live too sedentary a lifestyle, Have you ever wondered how much time you spend on your ass? seriously, it could me in excess of 16 hours a day (As I do some days)
  6. Make a plan to set up an enjoyable daily routine, something you can do every day
    • Start with a 30 minute daily walk – have fun with this!
    • take up something you may enjoy like Yoga, Tai Chi, or Lifting weights, one of the best tools id recommend for both men and women is kettlebells, as you can do them at home anytime! and they forge a good lean physique.
    • If you are really serious about losing weight I’m not going to kid you, I would advise you to get a personal trainer,  or if you think that’s too expensive, get a friend who is highly motivated and loves training (and would kick your ass if you don’t come through if you’ve committed to training) – personally these 2 options were vital for me as I get lazy if i don’t have someone else to answer to.
    • NUTRITION, It is my belief we should follow a diet as natural as possible to what we are designed to eat. – thus i would say something close to the paleo diet would be the best approach in what to eat,   I would also stress food combining and timing of your meals is critical, especially in relation to your chosen method of training.
