Tips for beginning a walking workout program

  1. Get a motivated friend who wants to lose weight and is likely to kick your butt if you dont keep your commitment to walk to join you on your program, this will help you be accountable and will garuantee you stick to it! also its nice to have someone to chat with.
  2. Walk at the pace where you can still carry on a conversation, any more exertion is actually bad for you in the long run.
  3. Walk for 30 mins minimum once you are fit enough, this gives your slow twitch muscle fibres enough time to become biologically switched on to reverse insulin resistence.
  4. Take measurements before you begin the program and your weight, then weigh in only at the weekend
  5. Its best to have a good diet when you are doing any weight loss program, my best recommendation would be to combine the walking program with Eat stop eat (this is what I do) or the Diet solution program for best results,

Choose Diet solution program if you want a nutrition based approach that is comprehensive and really works

choose eat stop eat if you dont enjoy dieting and would prefer to use the simplest method of all to lose weight

Tips to incorporate:

  • swing your arms, comfortably this burns a lot more fat and actually feels more comfortable

  • walk outdoors in the fresh air where possible!
